Charlotte (Esslinger) Bledsoe, age 64 of Old Forge, passed away Christmas morning at Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Taylor, after an illness.
Born on July 25, 1956, and raised in Warminster, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Fred, Jr. and Christine (Kopp) Esslinger and a graduate of William Tennant High School in Warminster. Despite the physical ailments that she suffered through most of her life, she always remained positive while looking for the bright side in everything.
Above all else came her family and their well being certainly meant everything to her. An amazing mother and grandmother, she loved nothing more than playing games with her grandkids.
Although Charlotte will forever be missed by her loved ones, they find comfort in knowing that she’s now at peace.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bledsoe and wife Shannon and Nicole Bledsoe, all of Old Forge; grandchildren, Kassidy, Kylie and Nicholas Bledsoe, Christian, Elijah, Rylie and Cadence; brothers, Walter Esslinger of Reading and Fred Esslinger of Lock Haven; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded her in death by her husband, Nicholas Bledsoe on May 22, 2004; and her sister, Christine Hanna.
Her family would like to thank the staffs of both Riverside Nursing Center and Compassionate Care Hospice for their collective care and compassion throughout Charlotte’s stay.
Private funeral services will be from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with burial to follow at Beulah Cemetery in New Britain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s name to the American Cancer Society c/o 1111 Old Berwick Rd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
