Lisa (Edwards) Xavier, age 52, and a lifelong resident of Old Forge, passed away Wednesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, after an illness.
Born in Old Forge on December 18, 1968, and daughter of Martha Edwards of Old Forge and the late Robert Edwards, Sr., Lisa was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1986, where she was also the school’s Miss Devilette.
Despite anything Lisa may have endured in life, her priority had always been her children. She certainly did the best she could for her loved ones. No longer suffering from illness, she’ll forever be missed.
She is also survived by her longtime fiance, William Vaskie of Old Forge; five children, Jermaine Best, Dakota and Derek Lederer, and Monica and Gustavo Xavier; brothers, Martin and Robert Edwards, Jr.; a grandson, Mason; and nieces and nephews.
Private cremation arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
