George “Buddy” Scherer, of Scranton, passed away Monday evening at Allied Hospice in Scranton. He was born in Scranton and the son of the late George and Barbara Scherer. He enjoyed working on vehicles, watching the Steelers, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving family, Melissa and Clifford Hollister of Covington Twp, grandkids, Clifford, Tiffany, Corey, Collin, and great grandchild Payton. Siblings Frank and Alene Scherer of Pine Grove, Kathy and Stanley Berkosky Of Taylor, Marybeth of Taylor, Jane and Bob Waltkins of Scranton, Dennis Scherer of Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.
