I met Kerie through my sister at a favorite local hangout. And although I didn't have the opportunity to get to know her very well, everytime I had ever seen her, she was always nice and very considerate to me. From the times I had spoken to her she was very genuine and made you laugh. I remember last year's Christmas party at Lawgy's, she was right there front and center helping make the party a success so everyone could have a good time. I am very saddened that this happened. I can see she had many friends who care about her and will be very missed. And although she may not be here physically she will always remain here in spirit. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Kerie was one of the most genuine people I know. Never afraid to say what's on her mind or voice her opinion especially if it was something she was passionate about. Whether it was sports, politics, trivia facts about music and entertainment only she would know; she was always the first one to strike up a conversation with absolutely anyone and make a lifelong friend out of a stranger in the process. Which explains why she has a countless number of friends. That was her personality, warm and welcoming. Always the first person to say "I'm in!" regardless of what the plan was, she showed up for friends and family no matter what. She was extremely outgoing, and could never sit home. She absolutely adored to be surrounded by the people she loved. Im not sure how she had 15 different friend groups and somehow still managed to be involved, present and such a great friend to each individual one of them all at the same time. She truly was the definition of a great friend. Trustworthy, honest, dependable, empathetic, and such a great listener. Kerie was the one to offer you a ride, to attend every single child's birthday party, wedding, shower, etc. She would stand in line at an estate sale for you at 9am on a weekday to try and snag the vintage peacock chair you wanted but couldn't get yourself because of work, without you even asking her to do that. She was extremely rare and one of a kind. She truly loved her family and my heart breaks for all of you. I wish I could take the pain away. "You and I will meet again When we're least expecting it Somewhere in some far off place I won't say goodbye my friend For you and I will meet again" -Tom Petty

I worked with Kerie at Taylor Nursing Home years ago when she was just a teenager, such a sweet , smart girl. I would see her sometimes through the years and she always had a smile on her face. Heaven gained a beautiful angel, may God give her family and close friends even a sliver of peace and strength during this difficult time.
