Donna (Hughes) Maul, age 59, recently of Lake Winola, passed away Tuesday evening at home after a longtime illness.
Born in Moosic on November 16, 1960, daughter of the late Clarence “Bubbie”, Sr. and Bessie (Decker) Hughes, Donna was a graduate of Riverside High School.
Despite any physical ailments life threw her way, Donna remained positive while simply loving life. She enjoyed shopping, adored Elvis Presley and, above all, being with her ten grandchildren. She will be loved forever by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Bessiemarie Eakle and Patrick Smith of Lake Ariel, Brandan Gordon of Idaho, Francine Townend and Jim Barnett of Factoryville, Gregg Townend and Tanya of Mayfield, Edmund Ulkoski, III of Scranton and Nick Ulkoski of Factoryville; siblings, Clarence Hughes, Jr. and wife Sandra of Hughestown, Williard “Butch” Hughes and Louis Hughes and wife Beverly, all of Moosic, Thomas Hughes and wife Leslie of Pittston, Dorothy Marianelli and husband Robert of Old Forge, Debra Hughes of Wilkes Barre, Jackie Grugnale and husband Michael of Moosic; ten grandchildren, Branden, Bryce and Breanna Eakle, Gavin Barnett, Ashton Gensel, Marissa Gordon, Edmund Ulkoski, IV, Nicholas Ulkoski, Jr., Donnamarie Barnett and Iris Passierelli; and many nieces and nephews.
A son, Harry Warren Gordon, Jr., and siblings, Ronald Hughes, Barbara Shrader, Marian Nalaschi, Louise Killino, Joan Kemler and Cathy Fritz, also preceded her in death.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at the Mayfield Hose Co. Engine 59, 900 Maple Street, Mayfield, Pa. 18433 on Sunday, August 16th, between 11 and 3:00PM.
