Thomas Paul Morris, 70, of West Pittston, passed away Wednesday evening at his home.
Born in Scranton on March 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Decker Morris. Thomas enlisted in the Army in 1967 and served a single tour in Vietnam before his honorable discharge from service. He was an active member with the VFW Post 8335 of Avoca.
He earned the moniker “Mercury” Morris from his forklift operating days at Pope & Talbot Paper in Ransom, where he worked for 23 years prior to retirement.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Williams Morris, on August 21, 1993, and his second wife, Cheryl Ann Randazza Morris, on February 12, 2015.
He is survived by a daughter, Sara Ann Morris Staller and husband Jeff, five grandchildren: Rich, Rachel, Simeon, Jeffery Jr. & Sierra; two sons, Thomas Paul Morris, Jr. and Kevin Patrick Morris and wife Dawn (Stanley) Morris; along with several nieces and nephews.
