Obituaries

Mary (Kozak) Dennis, age 94 of Moosic passed away Friday at home. She was preceded in death on Christmas Day, 2005, by her beloved husband of 40 years, George Dennis.
Born on April 20, 1925, and raised in Dupont, Mary was a graduate of the former Dupont High School. Employed by Parodi Cigar Factory, she worked as factory supervisor until her retirement. Her favorite hobby was sewing, something she did until her passing. Some of Mary’s fondest memories were made spending time with family and friends at the family lake house.
Also very proud of her Polish heritage, she was an amazing cook who specialized in Polish dishes and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, James Dennis, of Stroudsburg; and dear nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded n death by her son, Joseph Kuna; and siblings, Julia Micklasavage, Frank and Stanley Kozak, and a stillborn baby.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and sincerely thank Mary’s caretakers, Albert and Emily.
A blessing service by Rev. Francis Pauselli is scheduled for Saturday at noon in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Burial will follow at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10:00AM until services.
