Barbara A. (Buehler) Salvesen, age 71, of Old Forge, passed away Saturday evening at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, after an illness. She was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband, Everett Salveson, Sr.
A Brooklyn native, she was born on October 13, 1947, to the late Matthew and Marie Shrieber Buehler. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, N.Y., she was a longtime childrens clothing designer, before migrating with her husband to Old Forge. She was also a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
