Obituaries

Nicholas Petrichko, Jr., age 69, formerly of Clarks Summit, passed away Saturday morning at Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Taylor, after an illness.
Born in Hazleton on January 10, 1950, son of the late Nicholas, Sr. and Helen Hotzgo Petrichko, Nicholas was a graduate of the former Freeland High School, Class of 1968. Prior to illness, he worked as a mail clerk for Dorr Oliver in Hazleton. Of Roman Catholic faith, he was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
Kind, generous and selfless, Nicholas was a happy-go-lucky person with a heart of gold. He will be missed.
He is survived by siblings, Thomas Petrichko of Hazleton, Roseann Tallman and husband Ken of Jersey Shore, Emily Hoffman of Northampton and John Petrichko of Jersey Shore; and nieces and nephews.
