Ann Marie Bieniecki, age 72, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Wednesday at the Moses Taylor Hospital, after an illness.
Born on October 10, 1946, she was raised by her father, Frank Pinko, and her grandmother, Sophie Pinko, upon her mother’s passing. Always on the go, Ann Marie was an avid bicyclist and a member of both Scranton’s J.C.C. and Fr. Joseph Sica’s book club. An animal lover, she especially adored her two “babies”, cats Mikey and Paris. Loved by all who knew her, she will always be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sabo and husband Joseph of Scranton and her son, Philip Bieniecki and fiance Mari Mele of Moscow; her grandson, Antonio Cellar and wife Amy; and great grandchildren, Evie and Lena Cellar.
Her brother, Francis (Frank) Pinko, preceded her in death.
Her family wishes to thank Ann Marie’s wonderful friends who loved her unconditionally while remaining by her side throughout her illness. Her family will be forever grateful.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, January 4th, at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Avenue in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sica. Private interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
