She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward “Walter” Guzy, on November 1, 1974 and her late companion and friend, Joseph G. Romano, on August 8, 2013.
Born on December 7, 1923, a Binghamton, New York native, Margaret was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Binghamton. Settling in Old Forge upon raising her family, she worked as a seamstress for the former Sally Blouse Company. Of devout Roman Catholic faith, she was a longtime member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church and the St. Joan of Arc Church in Boca Raton, Florida.

An avid sports fan, she was a Philadelphia Phillies fanatic and Penn State football enthusiast. She loved dancing, exercising, watching movie classics, playing bingo, and was a true fashionista with elegant style and grace. Her humor and smile were as memorable as her love for her family; especially her love and adoration of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and remembered.
She is survived by her children, Edward J. Guzy and wife Glenda, David E. Guzy, all of Boca Raton, Janet Cuck and husband Louis of Moosic, Carole Mailley and husband John of St. Joseph, Michigan and Beverly Battafarano and husband Ronald of Delaware; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Her beloved sisters and brother preceded her in death.
Her family would like to thank the entire staff of St. Andrews Acts Estates along with Margaret’s caregiver, Claudette Francois, for their love, care and compassion.
