It didn't take much to be a friend with you. I didn't have the opportunity to know you well, and from what I am reading in the outpouring of tributes to who you were, I can see I missed a lot. But what I do know is that you made the effort to reach out to me, and to not let the beginnings of friendship fade. It was that simple act that inspired me, and went on to command my respect for you. It goes to the person you were that from really only knowing you thru your Facebook posts, I feel a deep sense of loss, for myself, and for those that knew you better. If a life is measured by the memories we leave behind, then yours was a life well lived. One can do no better.. Goodbye John, and thank you!
