Obituaries

Elizabeth Fox, age 56, of West Scranton, passed away Friday at Geisinger C.M.C., Scranton, after longtime illness. Her longtime companion, Thomas Smith of Scranton, survives.
Born on February 28, 1962, she was a lifelong resident of Scranton. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Alberta Stormes, and raised upon Alberta’s death as a daughter by Mary Jones of Scranton.
Despite her physical limitations, Elizabeth had a huge heart, always offering help to anyone in need. She adored her family and her greatest joy came while spending time with them. She is now at peace, to be forever missed by her loved ones.
She is survived by her five children, Tommy and fiance Tara Jordan, Tammy, Christine and Shaun Fox and Betty Lynn Murphy and husband James; siblings, Alberta, Blanche, Betty Jane, John, Billy and Albert Stormes; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Sunday, October 28th, at 3:00PM at the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 1:00PM until services.
