Funeral services to be co-conducted by Bruce’s son, Pastor Bruce Kumor, and Pastor Mark Brady are scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Relatives and friends may pay their respects between 5-7:00PM at the funeral home.

Bruce Kumor, Sr. age 65, of Taylor, passed away Saturday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Syslo Kumor. Wed on July 17, 1976, the couple were married for 42 years.
Born in Scranton on June 5, 1953, son of the late Martin and Betty Allin Kumor, Bruce was a graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1973. A member of St. Paul’s Church in Taylor, along with Susan he also attended St. Patrick’s Church in West Scranton. Prior to becoming ill, he worked for Metkote Laminated Products, Inc., of Taylor.
A longtime member of the Swiss Lodge, he was also a die-hard fan of Riverside Viking Football. Bruce was friendly, outgoing and had the knack for making friends wherever he was, seemingly knowing someone everywhere. An amazing husband, loving father and adoring grandfather, Bruce’s selfless nature continues well past his death as he has given the ultimate gift to help others by being an organ donor.
His is survived by three children, Amy Canavan and Daniel of Taylor, Pastor Bruce Kumor, Jr. and Amber of Corpus Christi, Texas and Scott Kumor and Sydney of New York, N.Y.; his brother, Alan Kumor and wife Karen of Old Forge; six grandchildren, Sara, Abby, Bella, Sam, Oliver and August; a great grandchild, Hayden; an uncle, Robert Allin and Cindy of Ct.; and many nieces and nephews.
His family wishes to thank the entire C.M.C. staff for their overwhelming care and compassion.
