Nicole Shayla Heaton, 20 months young, of West Scranton, tragically passed away Sunday shortly after arrival at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Beloved daughter of parents, Mary Cole and Austin Heaton, Nicole was born on December 12, 2016. In only a short time she personified personality. A perpetual source of joy to her entire family, she was smart, independent and had an infectious smile. She adored her loved ones, especially her grandparents, and had an endless amount of hobbies. She enjoyed dancing, laughing, listening to music, coloring and laughing – a lot. In even the gloomiest of days, her presence would shine bright. Certainly to be missed forever, Nicole will now be her family’s guardian angel.
She is also survived by her brother, Liam Michael Cole-Heaton; her grandparents, Suzanne Hawkins (Grandmarmee), William Cole, Alexis Heaton, Brian Hughes (affectionately known as “Papa Jack”), Wayne Kichar, Jr. (“Poppy”) and his companion Jaclyn Kehl (“Yaya”); her great grandparents, Connie Otley (“Nana”), Mariann Hill (“Tito”) and Wayne Kitcher, Sr.; and many cousins, uncles and aunts, especially her beloved Aunt Dawn.
An uncle, Michael Otley; and a great grandfather, Ray G. Otley, also preceded her in death.
Blessing services are scheduled for Saturday at 9:30AM at the Cathedral Cemetery Chapel, 1708 Oram Street in West Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sica.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
