Funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:15AM from the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton, with a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Richard Fox, Pastor. Burial, St. John’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home.

Ann M. Kurtz, age 89, of West Scranton, passed away Monday morning at Allied Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Scranton on July 19, 1929, and daughter of the late William and Agnes Haires Kurtz, Ann was educated in Scranton Schools. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church in West Scranton. She worked for the former Waitt and Bond Cigar Company, Inc., before becoming employed by Haddon Craftsmen, prior to her retirement. Passing away peacefully, she’ll be forever missed.
She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Siblings, Margaret Tobin, Ruth Loughney, Arch, George and William Kurtz also preceded her in death.
Her family would like to acknowledge the entire staffs of both Allied Skilled Nursing Center and Allied Hospice for the collective care Ann received throughout her stay.
