Debbie M. Bauman, age 59, of Old Forge, passed away Sunday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after an illness. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Anthony (Tony) Bauman. Wed on November 14, 1986, the couple were married for 31 years.
Born in Scranton on September 16, 1958, and daughter of the late William and Margaret Bevan Seifert, Debbie was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School, Class of 1977. For 25 years prior to illness, Debbie worked in the food service department for Community Medical Center.
A devoted and beloved member of the Moosic Alliance Community Church, Debbie was an active volunteer with her husband in all church activities. The church’s congregation served as her extended family, and will forever be recognized for their kindness and support during such a difficult time.
She enjoyed fishing and making crafts, selling what she made at local craft shows and fairs. Fun-loving, kind and a devoted wife, sister, aunt and church member, Debbie will long be remembered and dearly missed.
She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Piazza and husband Frank of West Wyoming, Carole Whymeyer and husband Harold of Scranton and Kathleen Loveland of Dunmore; and countless adoting nieces and nephews.
A brother, Billy Seifert,, and a brother-in-law, John Loveland, also preceded her in death.
A memorial service is scheduled for noon on May 5th at the Moosic Alliance Community Church, 608 Rocky Glen Road, Avoca, to be celebrated by Rev. Erik Ferguson, Pastor. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10:00AM until services.
