Lynne Neishman, age 56, of Old Forge, died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, after an illness.
Born on January 4, 1962, and raised in Old Forge, Lynne was the daughter of the late Robert, Sr. and Louise Salerno Neishman. A graduate of Old Forge High School, she then earned her Associates Degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy from Luzerne County Community College. Prior to illness, Lynne worked as a respiratory therapist for C.M.C., Allied Services and the former Mid Valley Hospital. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Taylor.
Kind, spirited, honest and loving, Lynne managed to touch the lives of all who she left behind. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed crafts and singing karaoke and a fashionista, she was always the best dressed around. Above being an adoring sister, aunt, niece, cousin, relative and friend, Lynne’s purpose was being a mother to her beloved daughter, Peyton. She never missed one of her daughter’s activities, especially a dance event, referring to herself as a “Dance Mom.” Lynne’s legacy will long live on through her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Peyton Neishman of Old Forge; her loving brothers Matthew Neishman of Moosic; and Robert Neishman, Jr. and wife Shannon of Dupont; her nephew and godson, Bobby Neishman, III, and her niece, Giana Neishman; aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday at noon at First United Church of Christ, 132 Union Street in Taylor, to be celebrated by Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser, Pastor. Private interment, Mountain View Cemetery in Harding.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday at the church between 11:00-12:00PM.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
