Thomas Lewis Gyr, 81, passed away in Seattle, Wash., on Jan. 24, 2018.
He was born on April 2, 1936, in Clarks Summit to Alfred and Ann Gyr. Thomas was raised with two brothers, Chester and Alfred Jr.
Thomas is survived by three nieces, Terri Shubin and Jean De Hart, both of California; and Susan Gyr, of Pennsylvania.
Tom served in the Army and spent his career working for AT&T in Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Thomas will be privately laid to rest in Washburn Street Cemetery, Scranton, in the family plot.
Local arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
