David Forbes Keogh, age 66, of Moosic’s Greenwood section, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton, after a courageous battle versus cancer.
Born on July 23, 1951, son of the late Howard and Margaret Cassidy Keogh, David was a graduate of Abington Heights High School before attending Villanova University where he studied Engineering. After a 50 year career in sporting good sales between Zambor Co., Pittston, and Danoff Co., Wilkes Barre, he retired in September of this past year.
David was a fun loving spirit who always seemed to be the root of a good time. His artistic talents were vast, but he especially enjoyed painting and appreciating nature. He was such a fanatic of the Green Bay Packers that he owned stock in the Packers’ organization, literally. Loved by all who knew him, he passed away with his loved ones by his side. He will forever be missed
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Merrill Keogh; his adoring children, Rob Keogh of Pittston Twp. and Laura Grayek and husband Damian of Scranton; a grandson, Collin Keogh; siblings, Richard Keogh and wife Kim of Brooklyn, Thomas Keogh of Coventry, Ct., Sean Keogh and wife Jesse of Houston, Tx., and Tina Keogh of Dunmore; his former wife, Christine Milus of Clarks Summit; and many nieces and nephews.
His sister, Robin Keogh, also preceded him in death on February 3, 2004.
His family would like to express its gratitude to Drs. Martin Hyzinski, Joseph Wang and Carmen Brutico along with their collective staffs for the amazing care given to David through his illness.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects to David on Sunday between 3-5:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
