Beatrice (Aunt Bea) McCamley, 105 years young, formerly of Old Forge and Exeter, passed away Friday at The Meadows of Scranton, where she was an eight-year resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William McCamley, on March 25, 1995.
Born in Florence, Italy, on December 16, 1912, she was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Parish of St. Barbara, in Exeter. Prior to her retirement she worked alongside her husband at Consolidated Cigar Company in West Pittston. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Her brother, Ego Pisaneschi, also preceded her in death.
Her family would like to express its appreciation to the entire staffs of both The Meadows of Scranton and Traditional Care Hospice, as well as a special thank you to Dr. Anees Fogley and his staff for their many years of collective loving care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday at 9:30AM in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Parish of St. Barbara, 224 Memorial Street in Exeter, to be celebrated by Rev. Michael Finn, Pastor. Burial will follow at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
