Dolores (Dee) Hatala Notari, R.N., a longtime Old Forge resident, passed away Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Old Forge and daughter of the late John, Sr. and Agnes Zinovenko Hatala, Dee was a graduate of Philadelphia’s Temple University School of Nursing. A Registered Nurse, she served as Temple University Hospital’s evening Nursing Supervisor.
Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Prince of Peace Parish, in Old Forge. She selflessy devoted her time to volunteer work for health-related agencies including the American Red Cross and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
She is survived by four siblings, Raymond Hatala of Old Forge, Gertrude Litwiniec of Orlando, Florida, Leonard Hatala and wife Connie and R. Brock Hatala and wife Sharon, both of Vero Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Her brother, John “Jackie” Hatala, also preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 10:00AM at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 620 South Main Street in Old Forge, to be celebrated by Rev. August A. Ricciardi, Pastor. Burial will follow at Old Forge Cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church on Tuesday from 9:00AM until Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dee’s name to the donor’s favorite charity.
