Carol Tabarrini, age 72, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, passed away Saturday morning at home, after an illness. She was the loving wife of Richard Tabarrini, Sr. Wed on February 22, 1969, the couple were married for 48 years.
Born on October 4, 1945 and daughter of the late John and Olga Haschak Sabatini, Carol was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1963. She was also a longtime member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church in Old Forge.
An adoring wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her world. Also an amazing cook, Carol will be forever missed.
She is also survived by three children, Tara Califano and husband Bryan of Old Forge, Richard Tabarrini, Jr. and wife Christina of Schwenksville, and Dr. Megan Kolter and husband Mike of Chester Springs; ten beloved grandchildren, Cassidy and Cooper Califano, Richie, III, Giavanna, Isabella and Anna Tabarrini, and Grace, Sophia, Johnny and Frankie Kolter; and her goddaughter, Beth Cwiek.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kevin Milewski.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on Tuesday at 8:15AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with a 9:00AM Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, 140 Church Street in Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. Eduard Shestak, Pastor. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home. In great appreciation for the tremendous care given to Carol, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, 600 Baltimore Drive, # 7, Wilkes-Barre, PA., 18702.
