Pearl Wojcik, a lifelong resident of West Scranton, passed away Sunday morning on her 96th birthday.
Born on May 21, 1921, Pearl was the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen Kowalski Wojcik. Possessing a tremendous work ethic throughout her life, she served as a floor supervisor at local garment factories before retiring from Anemostat. She was a lifelong devoted member of SS Peter and Paul Parish.
She loved her garden, especially her flowers, but beyond all she cared deeply for her beloved family and was considered a second mother to each of them. She’ll be forever loved and remembered.
Surviving are her nieces, Bernadine Agostini and husband Gary of Phoenixville, Jean Marie Imdorf and husband Ralph of Taylor; a nephew, Thomas Suchecki and wife Lora of Huntersville, North Carolina; six great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Aurelia Suchecki and great nephew, David Agostini.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00AM in SS Peter and Paul Church, 1309 West Locust Street in West Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Sam J. Ferretti, Pastor. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday between 9-10:00AM at the church.
