Obituaries

Patricia “Trish” Costello Potocki, 51, a lifelong of Scranton native, died Tuesday in Geisinger Community Medical Center’s I.C.U., following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Edward J. Potocki.
Daughter of Edith Hulse Costello of Scranton, and the late Michael Costello, Trish worked in the food and beverage industry for most of her life. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her countless family and friends. She especially loved being with her grandchildren, who she considered the light of her life.
She is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Potocki and fiance Kerri Volovitch of Scranton; two grandchildren, Ethan and Mia Potocki; seven brothers and two sisters; many nieces and nephews and dear friends she considered family; and her beloved dog, Bruno.
Two siblings also preceded her in death.
Her family wishes to thank the entire staff, especially the nurses, of GCMC’s I.C.U. for their tremendous care and efforts in making Trish comfortable.
Memorial services are scheduled for Monday at 1:00PM at the Providence United Presbyterian Church, 1145 Providence Road in North Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church from 11:00AM until services.
