Victor Louis Gonzales, age 59, of Scranton, died Friday evening at Allied Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton after courageously battling Cancer.
Born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, on December 13, 1957, he was the son of Rosa Ayala and the late Victor Gonzales. A mechanic by trade, he moved to Scranton this past December upon his illness to receive treatments.
He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren eating plenty of Oreo Cookies. A strong man who lived life his own way, he was also both caring and loving, characteristics past down through his family. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle and great uncle, Victor is now at peace. He’ll be forever missed.
He is survived by his children, Johnathan, Vanessa, Sandra, Victor and Victoria; his grandchildren, S’Niyrah, Netanya, Yandel, Kayla, Angel, Benjamin, Daniel, Johnathan, Andres, Alexander, Nicholas, Eva and Kaevon; his great grandchildren, Zane and Josiah; siblings, Hector and Indalecio; sons-in-law, Duane, Wayne and Jose; sister-in-law, Nancy; daughter-in-law, Jo’Ana; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
