George Thomas Geueke, Jr., age 50, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Born on November 11, 1966, he was the son of Rose Palumbo Geueke of Scranton and George T. Geueke, Sr., also of Scranton. For 40 years, George called St. Joseph’s Center of Scranton his home. Throughout his stay, he touched the lives of countless residents and staff. Loved by all who knew him, he will never be forgotten.
He is also survived by his aunts, Phyllis Harrison of Moosic, and Patricia Palumbo of Pittston; his uncle, Frank Palumbo, Sr., of Hughestown; his cousins, Marissa Harrison, Kenneth Klimek, Sr., Kenneth Klimek, Jr., Tracy Palumbo, Frank Palumbo, Jr., Katrina Klimek, Deborah Harrison and Nathan Klimek; and his extended family at St. Joseph’s Center.
His family would like to thank all who’ve been a part of George’s life, especially the St. Joseph’s Center family for decades of kindness, care, support and, above all, love.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday at 12:30PM at St. Joseph Marello Church Parish, 237 William Street in Pittston. Burial will follow at Denison Cemetery in Swoyersville.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday beteween 11:30-12:30PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George’s name to St. Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adams Ave, Scranton, Pa., 18509.
