Gerald (Jerry) Case, age 58, of Laceyville, passed away Sunday at Regional Hospital of Scranton, after an illness.
Born on August 27, 1958 and raised in Brick, N.J., he was the son of the late John and Edith Tuck Case. A graduate of Brick High School, he became a member of the Local Millwrights Union #715 of Jackson, N.J., where his career in turbine engine repair traveled him to many locations. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose #1459, the Harley-Davidson H.O.G. owners club and a social member of the American Legion Post #504. An outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed the mountains of NEPA. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends.
He belonged to the Beaver Meadows Methodist Church in Laceyville.
He is survived by a daughter, Anastasia Case of Chambersburg, a son, Justin Case of Tom’s River, N.J.; a fiance, Melanie Plotke; siblings, Howard Case and Mary Taggart; and many nieces and nephews.
Brothers, Robert, John and Richard Case also preceded him in death.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s name to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX., 75231-4596.
