Adeline Cimoch, age 88, of Moosic’s Glenmaura section, passed away peacefully Friday morning at home with her loving daughter and caretaker by her side. Her beloved husband, the late Edward Cimoch, Sr., preceded her in death on April 7, 1980.
Born in Dickson City on June 29, 1928, Adeline was a graduate of the former Dickson City High School. Along with her husband who served as the course’s Superintendent, Adeline lived on the grounds of the Scranton Municipal Golf Course from its inception in 1960. In 1980 she began a job as course cashier until she became ill in 2000. She adored the golf course and her work, and cherished the friendships that came with each.
She enjoyed traveling with her Aunt Sophie and was an avid reader. Enthusiastic about life, Adeline brought joy to everyone around her. Her laughter, happiness and smile will all be dearly remembered.
She is survived by two children, her daughter Wendy Cimoch of Moosic and her son Edward Cimoch, Jr., and wife Tammy of Vandling; two grandchildren, Sabrina and Sebastian Cimoch; two sisters, Diane Miller and husband Atty. Louis of Hopewell, N.J., and Marie Scott and husband Jim of Clarks Summit; and many nieces and nephews.
Adeline’s family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff of Telespond Senior Services for the amazing love and care given to Adeline over the past four years.
