Carol Moluski Wolczak, age 75, of Duryea, passed away Monday at Highland Manor in Exeter.
Born in Duryea on December 15, 1940, and daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Lacevnik Moluski, Carol was a graduate of the former Duryea High School, Class of 1958. For many years, she had worked as a seamstress for Brooks Manufacturing in Old Forge.
Of Roman Catholic faith, Carol was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, in Duryea. Caring and thoughtful, she loyally supported many, especially our Military, our Veterans, and Ruth’s Place Women’s Shelter in Wilkes Barre. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her two children, Gary Wolczak of Woodside, New York, and Barbara Bartuska and husband Ronald of Burke, Virginia; a granddaughter, Amanda Bartuska; siblings, Thomas Moluski of Duryea, Cynthia Yurkanin of Duryea and Patricia Gubbiotti of Laflin; and many nieces and nephews. Sisters Esther Butrim and Jean Ambrosavage preceded her in death.
Her children would like to thank the entire staff of Highland Manor and Compassionate Care Hospice for the amazing care and compassion given to Carol throughout her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00AM at Holy Rosary Church, Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street in Duryea, to be concelebrated by Rev. William Blake and Rev. John Polednak, Pastor. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday between 9:00-10:00AM at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
