Corrine Huggler, age 63, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, passed away Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, after an illness.
Born on August 4, 1952, daughter of the late John (Jack) and Ruth Burke Huggler, Corrine was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1973. She worked for New York Bronze Powder Company in Taylor, prior to its closure. She was also a longtime member of the Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Old Forge.
She led a simple life, however she touched the lives of those around with her kindness and caring nature. She will be missed.
She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Gleason and husband Garrett, Sr., of Old Forge; her nephews, Brandon and Garrett Gleason, Jr.; her three feline friends, Midnight, Bonnie and Clyde; and her four-legged “nephew”, Snoopy.
Her brother, Gordon huggler, also preceded her in death.
Her family wishes to thank Corrine aunt and godmother, Joan Powell, for all of her love and care given to both Corrine and her family.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at noon in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment, Milwaukee Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday between 5-8:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Stewart Memorial U.M. Church, 174 N. Main St., Old Forge, PA 18518, or, in memory of her beloved cats, to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., PA 18411.
