Obituaries

Francis Eugene Murphy, age 70, of South Scranton, died Monday morning , September 20 , 2004 at the Community Medical Center .
Born on November 29, 1933 in Dunmore he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Kloss Murphy. He was educated in Dunmore Schools. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, South Scranton. He Served in the Army.
He was employed by the CIA in Washington, DC where he received several awards during his time of service there.
Surviving is a friend, Louise Riviello, Old Forge.
Graveside services were conducted Monday September 27, 2004 in Mount Carmel Cemetery , Dunmore.
Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
A memorial mass will be held on Sunday October 17th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, South Scranton
