John J. Mandigo, age 50, of Taylor, passed away Wednesday. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of ten years, Terri Rose Mandigo.
Born on November 15, 1965, John was the son of Jane Banker Mandigo of Taylor, and the late Lawrence Mandigo. Prior to illness, he had worked as a forklift operator at Mia Products in Moosic. An automobile enthusiast and talented mechanic, he loved cars, especially Corvettes. Considered the “greatest poppy in the world”, he was an adoring grandfather who will be forever missed.
He is also survived step-children, Jordan Wells and wife Tiffany and Carissa Slater and husband Robert, all of Mehoopany; his sisters, Cindy Rought of Tunkhannock and Kathy Traver of Meshoppen; three beloved grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A grandson, Gage Wells, tragically preceded him in death.
His wife wishes to extend her appreciation to the entire staff of Geisinger C.M.C., to the Open Door Baptist Church family, and to her work family at Voluntary Action Center, for their support, compassion and care throughout John’s illness.
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday at 7:00PM at Open Door Baptist Church, 826 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday between 6-7:00PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Baptist Church Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
