Arthur E. Smith, age 51, of Factoryville, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Golden Living Center in Scranton, after a recently diagnosed bout with pancreatic cancer. His beloved wife, Linda Mosier Smith, survives. Wed on September 19, 1986, the couple would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year.
Born on July 27, 1964, in Tampa, Florida, Arthur was the son of loving parents, Arthur W. and Linda Lee Donato Smith. Prior to his illness, he worked as a mechanic for Hayduk Industries in Factoryville. He possessed a tremendous worth ethic and his favorite pastime was fishing. A loving husband, father and brother, his greatest joy came when spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
He is also survived by three step-children, Linda Yesuvida and wife Amber of Mehoopany, Jeremy Clinton of Factoryville and Brian Jonas and wife Crystal of Lake Winola; three siblings, Elizabeth, James and David Smith; six adoring grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
