Janine M. Albrecht, age 55, of S. Abington Twp., died Monday morning at home. She is survived by her husband, David Albrecht, Sr.
Born in Scranton on November 14, 1960, Janine was the daughter of Sarah Ferraro Macarski and the late Walter Macarski. A 1979 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School, she worked at New York Bronze Powder Company in Taylor, before owning and operating Nipper’s Bar & Grill, also in Taylor.
Janine possessed a big heart, becoming an avid volunteer for the Peckville Assenmbly of God’s Food Pantry. Passing away unexpectedly Monday morning, she will be dearly missed.
She is also survived by her sons, David Albrecht, Jr., of Scranton, and Bradley Albrecht of S. Abington Twp.; a brother, Jason Macarski of Dallas, Texas; five beloved grandchildren, Camrynn, Gianna, Lainey, David, III, and Katalina; and nieces and nephews.
A brother, Glenn Macarski, preceded her in death on October 16, 2014.
