Obituaries

Alice Christine Tiffany, age 85, of Dalton, passed away Thursday under the care of the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born in Alford on March 17, 1930, she was employed at various sewing machine factories, prior to her retirement.
From studying paralegal, earning her notary seal and wood carving, she was a very talented woodworker who had both built a portion of, and eventually remodeled, her house. She was both crafty and talented. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved best friend, companion and husband of over 40 years, George Minckler, at their cabin in Susquehanna. She will be dearly missed.
She is also survived by her children, Richard (Rick) and wife Linda, Thomas and wife Mary Ann, and Christine; her sister, Helen; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A brother, Maurice (Bud), and a sister, Marie, also preceded her in death.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge.
