Obituaries

Robert Moran, age 60, of Scranton, passed away on Thursday.
Born on January 25, 1956, son of the late Walter J. Moran and Jeanette Harris Kucharski, and stepson of Edward Kucharski, Robert was educated at West Scranton High School. He was a member of the United State Marine Corps. and, prior to retirement, was a self-employed carpenter. Of Roman Catholic faith, he regularly attended St. Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton. A car enthusiast, he was an excellent mechanic who also enjoyed fishing. His family and friends will deeply miss him.
He is survived by his children, Robert, Jr., Joseph, Christina, April and Luke Moran; his siblings, Michael and Stephen Moran, Geraldine Balmer and Shirley Kalinowski; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A brother, Edward Kucharski; and a niece, Anna Kalinowski, also preceded him in death.
Blessing services, by Msgr. William Ward, to be followed by military rites by the AMVETS Honor Guard are scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday between 5-7:00PM.
