Born on February 2, 1964, son of the late Emory, Sr., and Jean Zimbroski Kemler, Butch was educated at Pittston Area High School before working as a mechanic. Certainly taken from his family and friends too soon, he was loved by everyone who knew him.
Also surviving are siblings, Frances Korman and husband Charles of Plains, Martha Braun of Avoca and Sandy Fisher and husband Michael (Lou) of Exeter; a mother-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) Johns of Old Forge; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Sally Russell, on December 17th; a brother-in-law, David Russell, Sr.; and a father-in-law, Archie Johns.
His wife would like to personally thank the entire staff of Hematology and Oncology Associates of Northeastern Pennsylvania for the wonderful care given to Butch throughout his treatments.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00AM in the First United Methodist Church, 143 Harrison Street in Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. Susan Hardman Zimmerman, Pastor. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday between 4-7:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge. Memorial contributions may be made in Butch’s name to the American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, Pa., 18517.
