Obituaries

Sally Russell, age 49, of Edwardsville, passed away Thursday at home, after an illness. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 33 years, David Russell, Sr., on April 27, 2014.
Born on New Year’s Day, 1966, daughter of the late Emory, Sr., and Jean Zimbroski Kemler, Sally was educated in Pittston Area Schools. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Russell’s Transportation, LLC., and prior to David’s death, she owned Russell’s Discount Auto Service Center of Wyoming, where she served as both owner and mechanic.
She was a longtime member of the Wyoming Valley Motorcycle Club, where she would often participate in fundraisers and charity benefits. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she will forever me missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Russell of Dallas, David Russell, Jr., and wife Carissa Lynn Gift of Old Forge, Jean Roxby and husband Andrew of Old Forge, Allen Russell of Old Forge, and David W. Russell and Michael Russell, both of Edwardsville; siblings, Frances Korman and husband Charles of Plains Twp., Martha Braun of Avoca, Emory (Butch) Kemler and wife Carol of Old Forge and Sandy Fisher and husband Michael (Lou) of Exeter; five adoring grandchildren; her companion, Richard Zang of Edwardsville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services by Rev. Susan Zimmerman are scheduled for Monday at 11:00AM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment, Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home.
