Rose Marie Sledzinski, age 76, of Taylor, passed away Saturday morning at Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Taylor.
Born in West Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael, Sr., and Ceil Mozeleski Sledzinski. After spending eight years at St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, she began high school at West Scranton before graduating from Taylor High School, Class of 1956. Prior to her retirement, she did both secretarial and accounting work for Jaunty Fabrics, Vermont Clothing and Garlet Manufacturing. Along with her niece, Janice Muskey, she operated Studio One Ceramics in Taylor for seven years. She always enjoyed her time spent working with the public at Convenient Food Mart in Old Forge. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; especially, her nephew and caregiver, Bobby Williams of Old Forge.
Also preceding her in death was longtime companion, Gene Busch; and brothers, Michael, Jr., and Robert Sledzinski.
Blessing services and burial at SS Peter and Paul’s Parish Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
