Raymond A. Herron, Jr., age 54, of Moosic, passed away Sunday at home. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine. Wed on June 1, 1991, the couple would have celebrated a 25th anniversary next year.
Born in Taylor on August 6, 1961, and son of the late Raymond A., Sr. and Marion Vosburg Herron of Moosic, Raymond was educated at Riverside High School before working for the former Mercy Hospital in Scranton.
Raymond will long be remembered for his knowledge of history, his love of the outdoors, his woodworking abilities, and most of all, his love for his family. Taken by the Lord unexpectedly, he will be forever missed.
He was a member of the Olive Branch Bible Church.
He is also survived by his sons, Raymond A., III, and Christopher Herron, both of Moosic; his sister, Marion Townend and husband David of Moosic; an adored granddaughter, Audrey; and many nieces and nephews.
His sister, Sarah Maopoliski, also preceded him in death.
A Memorial service, to be conducted by Rev. Carl Brigido, is scheduled for Sunday at Memorable Occasions, 268 Main Street in Duryea. Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the family from 10-11:00AM at the hall.
