Kenneth D. Blake, Jr., age 23, of Scranton died early Sunday morning as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on February 26, 1992, in Delaware County, Kenneth was the son of Brenda Malone of Chester and Kenneth Blake, Sr., with whom he resided. Prior to working as a cook for Kildare’s Pub in Scranton, he worked for Houghton Enterprises as a carnival operator, a job he was very fond of.
Kenny adored his family and friends. He enjoyed living in the moment, dancing and spending time with those he loved. Much loved by all, his impact on the lives of others is immeasurable. Taken tragically, he will be forever missed.
He is also survived by his daughter, Makenna; his siblings, Sabrina, USN, stationed in Great Lakes, Illinois, Dominique and Damien, both of Pittsburgh; on his mother’s side, step-siblings, Jeree, Shira and Dave; a grandmother. step-father, step mothers, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Blessing services are scheduled for Friday at 12PM in the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton. Interment will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 10:00AM until services at the funeral home.
