Robert A. Giacomini, 80, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, died Monday morning in the Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born June 11, 1935 in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Ranier and Catherine Poplawski Giacomini. A 1953 graduate of Old Forge High School, Robert was employed for over 20 years by Augostini’s Bakery as a baker’s assistant. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Robert was a loving brother and cousin who enjoyed old movies and good music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main St. , Old Forge, with Mass at 10:00 AM in Prince of Peace Parish, St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Old Forge, with Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor, officiating. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery , Old Forge.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
