Obituaries

Louise Dorothea Gallia Casella died peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center. She had been a resident since June 2002.
Born in Old Forge, on May 7, 1920, to the late Andrew and Rose Morosini Gallia, she was a 1937 graduate of Old Forge High School and a 1941 graduate of the Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing. Louise worked for many years as a private duty nurse in the Scranton area. Before her move to Tulsa, Okla., she was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Prince of Peace Parish, in Old Forge.
Louise loved traveling, dancing, bargain hunting and entertaining. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife to her beloved husband, John, for 40 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and husband, Robert Okada, Tulsa, Okla.; son, John Casella, Tannersville, Pa.; grandson, David Okada and his wife, Samantha Merck, Boston, Mass.; and granddaughter Christine Okada, Chicago, Ill.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John; five brothers, Primo, Louis, Joseph, Andrew and Henry Gallia; and a sister, Clelia Nardelli.
Louise will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, to be celebrated by Rev. Andrew Gallia, was held on June 10th. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Memorial contributions may be made in Louise’s name to the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, 2025 E. 71st St., Tulsa, OK. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
