Gerard (Gerry) J. Thompson, age 67, of Moosic, died Saturday at Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Taylor.
Born in Carbondale on December 29, 1947, son of Gerard and Kathryn Moran Thompson, Gerry was a graduate of Lakeland High School. He was a proud United States Army Veteran having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He had formerly owned and operated Thompson Trucking Company.
He is survived by children, Shaun Thompson of Mayfield and Kelly Brazill of Raleigh, North Carolina; his former wife, Margie Stewart of Mayfield; and numerous cousins.
