Milton Henry Quick, age 70, of Scott Twp., died Friday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Patricia Aulisio Quick.
Born in Hawley on July 29, 1944 and son of the late Theodore and Margaret Graber Quick, Milton was a graduate of the former Hawley High School, Class of 1963. A proud United States Navy and Marine Corps Veteran, he served during the Vietnam War, until he was honorably discharged in 1969. He worked as store manager of Father and Son’s Shoe Store at the Viewmont Mall, before working for Thompson Electronics and Sears, prior to his retirement. Of Roman Catholic faith, he was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Scott Twp. He also belonged to both the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Marine Corps League. He enjoyed traveling, having visited Italy, Germany, Spain and the Caribbean Islands throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed maintaining his lawn and spending time with family and friends. Although he has passed, his legacy will live on through the lives he will inevitably save through his organ donation.
He is survived by his loving children, Chad V. Quick and wife Kristine of Mahwah, New Jersey, and Stephanie Quick, at home, and fiance Louis Mebus of Montrose; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Vincent Quick, and a sister, Laurella Kielar, also preceded him in death.
Services are scheduled to begin on Thursday at 9:30AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence O’Toole RC Church, 620 South Main Street, Old Forge. Interment with full military rites by the AMVETS Honor Guard will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Milton’s name to either Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin pond road, S. Abington Twp., PA., 18411, or to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA., 19123.
