Obituaries

Rod W. Folnsbee, 60, of Scranton died Wednesday morning in the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Spath Folnsbee. Wed on Valentine’s Day, 1997, the couple was married for 18 years.
Born on Dec. 1, 1954, son of the late Shirley Mae Davis Williams and Leroy Folnsbee, Rod worked as a machine operator for both Cinram International of Olyphant and, before his illness, CPG of Scranton. An avid fan of NASCAR and the NFL, he was also a handy woodworker and repairman. He will be dearly missed.
He is also survived by four stepsons, William and Jason Fulton, Scranton; Patrick Fulton and wife, Beth, Dickson City; and Christopher Fulton and fiancée, Holly Soprano, Old Forge; his brothers, Roy Folnsbee, Scranton; Perry Cole, Dunmore; David Cole and wife, Mary, Tunkhannock; and Rickey Cole and wife, Ute Germany; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a stepson, David Fulton, in 2003, and a step father, Roy F. Cole.
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday at 7:00PM in the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Avenue in Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday between 5-7:00PM at the funeral home.
