Obituaries

Doris M. Waltos, age 86, of West Scranton, passed away Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. In 1971, she was preceded by her beloved husband Stanley J. Waltos, Sr.
Born on April 25, 1928, daughter of the late Dock and Connie Jones Phelps, Doris served as manager of Thrift Drug at the Viewmont Mall, Dickson City. Her strong work ethic will never be forgotten. She will be missed by all of those who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Stanley J. Waltos, Jr., and Connie Otley, both of Scranton, and Michael Waltos of Santa Barbara, California; siblings, Gene Phelps and Peggy Downs; ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Pam Waltos; a grandson, Michael Otley; and brothers, Ted and Dock Phelps, also preceded her in death.
Blessing services by Rev. Francis Landry, C.P., Pastor of St. Ann’s Parish, are scheduled for Tuesday at 11:30AM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10:00AM until services.
