Stephen Thomas Clark, age 98, of Arlington, Virginia, died peacefully Tuesday evening, February 3, 2015, at his vacation home in Ocean City, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jule Walsh Clark and his two sisters, Margaret McDonough and Patricia Clark.
Born in Stony Point, New York, on May 24, 1916, son of the late Stephen Vincent and Agnes Clark, Mr. Clark earned his law degree from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he served as Comptroller of the Marine Corps.
He is survived by four children, Stephen J. Clark of Centreville, Virginia; Patricia Ann Clark of Fairfax, Virginia; Judy Parris (Russell) and Maureen Dalton (Rich) of Johns Creek, Georgia; a brother, Thomas Clark (Betty); four grandchildren, Rusty Parris, Robert Parris, Maureen Walker and Stephen John Clark; four great grandchildren, Jackson Parris, William Parris, Alexander Parris and Hunter Clark.
Blessing services are scheduled for Saturday at 9:30AM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Interment, with full military honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard, will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday between 9:00AM and services.
