Romayne A. Perry, age 94, of Moosic passed away Jan 9, 2015 under the care of the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Herbert Perry.
Born in Scranton on July 4, 1920 daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Laffey Diskin. Romayne was a graduate of Minooka High School and later a homemaker. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a long time member of Divine Mercy Parish in Scranton. Her greatest joy came with receiving visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
She is also survived by her son, Thomas J. Perry and wife Julie Krisovitch of Montdale; six grandchildren, Kimberly and husband Gerald Henry, La Plume; Cindy and husband, Eric Walton, Hanover Township; Daniel and wife Carolyn, Chicago; James and wife Laura, Carbondale; Michael and wife Dorothy, Scranton; and Christopher and fiancée Stephanie Troutman, Carbondale; seven great-grandchildren, Candace, Michael, Jr., Sydney, Cole, Daniel, Jr., Gianna and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews.
Siblings: Harold, Joseph and Margaret Diskin, Claire Himmelsbach, Grace Perry and Mabel Granito preceded her in death.
Her family wishes to acknowledge Romayne’s long time caregivers, her niece and nephew, Pam and Pat Perry, and to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Geisinger/CMC Hospice for their compassion and professionalism.
